Despite newborn sleep deprivation and very little crafting happening lately, I couldn’t skip creating a new Hanukkah countdown calendar for this year. And with Hanukkah starting in just two weeks, it’s time to start counting!
Why is Hanukkah always blue? Chai&Home writes about a Hanukkah “blue fatigue” across retail America. So I decided to make this year’s calendar a rainbow of colors to add brightness to the dreary and dark time of year that is upon us. I changed things up this year and placed candles on stickers instead of the calendar itself so you can really “light” them each night.
Once again I used Microsoft Publisher and some fun graphics from Maree Truelove on Etsy that I recolored along with a couple other dreidel designs. This year, I printed the calendar on my favorite Neenah Solar White cardstock and the stickers on clear inkjet labels. But as I’ve mentioned in the past you could also print the “stickers” on paper and use tape or glue or use whatever stickers you already have.
Here is this year’s Countdown to Hanukkah Calendar for your printing pleasure!

And now it’s time for me to get organized myself so Hanukkah Harry can make sure our 8 nights are everything my family is hoping for! Hope you have as much fun counting down the days as we do!
